NPR offers a wide range of podcasts and shows that help listeners explore the news, ideas, and what it means to be human. Our programming strives to reflect and sound like America while meeting the highest standards of public service in journalism and cultural expression. Some recent show launches include:
We aim to keep innovating and leading in the podcast and digital space, and engage new talent who can bring a fresh perspective to NPR. We are actively seeking new programming that:
- serves Black and Latino/a/x audiences by centering their stories and voices
- engages younger audiences through multiplatform storytelling
- builds on our foundation of signature, longform- narrative journalism
We are accepting pitches for podcasts that meet these goals, and will also consider pitches that present an otherwise compelling opportunity for NPR.
If you’re from an NPR member station or you’re an independent producer, use this form to submit your pitch for a new podcast. Your show can be in development, in production, or up for acquisition; video series should be in development or production.
If we are interested in developing your concept further, someone from our team will reach out to you. Due to the volume of submissions, we are unable to directly respond to every pitch with feedback.
